Hi, my name is Shimon; I'm a Certified Israeli Tour Guide.  I was born and raised in Jerusalem (Yerushalayim) and still live here today. 

 

I specialize in private, custom tailored tours of Israel for individuals, couples, families, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs and small groups looking for that exclusive, boutique experience.

 

As your personal tour guide, I'll show you Israel through the eyes of a native Israeli!  As well as all the classic 'tourist' sites, you'll see the places only the locals know.  I'll be able to answer any questions you may have about Israel's politics, religions, ethnic minorities, geography, history, archaeology and culture - all from a local point of view!

 

My tours are conducted in English and you can explore the sights in your own way - at your own pace.

 

As a born and raised Jerusalemite (Yerushalmi), this beautiful city is close to my heart.  Jerusalem's diversity is vast - from King David to General Allenby, Mark Twain to Ben Gurion. I'll take you through the streets of Jerusalem, walking through history in the footsteps of the Greeks, Romans, Christian Crusaders, and the Ottoman and British Empires.  You'll see buildings and cultural sites both ancient and modern.  We'll visit Jerusalem - old and new - taking in the Muslim and Armenian quarters, the 'souk' (traditional market), museums, the German and American Colonies and so much more!

 

Taking in all the sites is sure to work up your appetite.  I'll take you on my 'Jerusalem Food Tour' where you can enjoy a variety of local cuisines. Try some delicious 'shawarma' here, 'tabouleh' there, and wash it all down with a locally brewed, ice-cold 'Gold Star' beer. Relax and watch the world go by in buzzing Nachlaot, Machane Yehuda, and the Jewish, Christian and Muslim quarters.
